Apps!  They're everywhere!  From smartphones to computers, this little buzz word has turned out to something many of us can't live without these days.  There's literally millions of them and more, even better than the last, on the horizon everyday.  While tech innovation is generally a fascinating thing, it can easily take an ugly turn, especially with apps like this that we really, really hope never become realities.

The First Date Scanner - So you're on a first date, getting to know the other person, but something seems a little fishy, a little too perfect.  If only there was a way to dig up a little dirt and see what they're really about.  Take a picture of them with the First Date Scanner and the facial recognition software would pull up something like their criminal background, credit history, or worse, full Facebook profile.

The Universal Remote - Remember hearing about the one kid in class who had that cool universal remote watch and would turn the TV on and off to the teacher's complete befuddlement?  Funny right?  But, that's school.  In the real world, this would get annoying real quick.  Just picture being at the bar and some turd with this app thinks it's funny to turn off the TV during the final seconds of a nail-biting game.  Not cool, man.  Not cool.

Any GPS-featuring app ever that lets people track your location - These exist now, but why?  If you're somewhere and you want someone to come, call them!  Text them!  Just broadcasting your location for any ol' joe to see is stupid and reckless.  It's like "Hey, I'm not home!  Rob me!"  Plus, the frequency of my McDonalds trips are nothing I'd want to show anyone, ever.

X-Ray Vision Smartphone Camera - Do we even have to explain this one?

Productivity Eye Tracker - On a work computer, this thing would be death.  Imagine working at a place where they already oversee your browsing habits and just how much work you really get done on the computer every day.  Then, add an eye tracker where they can see precisely just how much time you spend staring into the screen, losing precious moments of life every day.  The reality is frightening.
