Unlike most modern movies shown on IMAX screens across the country, The Dark Knight Rises was filmed on actual IMAX cameras. This special 70mm film makes for a super-immersive movie-watching experience that literally wraps around you in MOSI's IMAX Dome Theatre. Seriously, under this dome your entire field of vision will be faced with beautiful, moving shots of Gotham, Batman and Bane duking it out, and all the other great action throughout the film.
Christopher Nolan is one of the very few movie directors to take a leap like this. Judging by audience and critical reception, IMAX is definitely the way to go if you really want to see The Dark Knight Rises in all it's glory.
