As we previously mentioned in last year's article, Tampa Bay was chosen to host the 2014 IIFA Awards, also known as the 'Bollywood Oscars.' The awards ceremony was originally set to take place June of 2014, but it was recently announced that IIFA Awards will now be held April 23rd-26th, 2014 at the Raymond James Stadium.

The IIFA Awards is a weekend filled with events based on Indian film, fashion, music, business, and culture. The weekend is expected to be as big as Super Bowl weekend, drawing in 30,000 or more visitors, and the ceremony being broadcasted to 600 million viewers in 108 countries. Yeah....it's kind of a big deal; especially considering the fact that this year will be the first time ever for IIFA to take place in the United States.

Some of the nominations have also been revealed. "Ram Leela" received seven nominations, one of them being best film. The director of the film, Sanjay Leela Bhansali, was nominated for best director and best music director, and the film’s lead actor, Ranveer Singh, was nominated for best actor. Hrithik Roshan was also been nominated as best actor for his role in “Krrish 3,” and Deepika Padukone scored a nomination for best actress for her role in "Ram Leela."
