This Memorial Day Weekend, discover the second annual Tampa Bay Margarita Festival at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park! There’s no better way to kick start the long weekend than with a refreshing margarita in hand, live music, and soaking up some Florida sun in one of Tampa’s most beloved parks.

There will be over 80 professional bartenders at this event who will be serving up a selection of premium margaritas of every flavor and color you can imagine. Top Shelf Margaritas will start at just $6, Craft Margaritas at $4, and other drinks such as tequila and beer will be served. There will also be a large variety of food available by the Tampa Bay Food Truck Rally.

Aside from the satisfaction of having an amazing margarita in hand, there will be a lineup of great bands for entertainment, with Grammy-winning Los Lonely Boys headlining the event. Tons of activities will be taking place throughout the day, like mechanical Corona Bottle, beach volleyball and sand-sculptures. Feel free to bring along your pets because this is a pet-friendly event! Later in the evening there will be a large fireworks show with the Downtown Tampa Skyline as the backdrop—a perfect way to cap the night.

This 21+ event runs from 1 PM-10 PM, and right now through May 24th, General Admission is just $15. At the door, it will be $20 if available—however, you’ll want to secure entry and get tickets ahead of time, as this is a highly projected event with over 8,000 attendees expected. VIP tickets have already been sold out and the event has even had to expand into Kiley Gardens, a park adjacent to Curtis Hixon.

There are also other tickets available for a special Grand Tequila Tasting event taking place the Friday before. The extra ticket for this will get you a pass to sample UNLIMITED amounts of over 40 tequila brands, with your own collectible Grand Tequila Tasting glass. Along with the huge range of tequila selections, from basic, to ultra premiums, to rare, there will be exclusive food stations prepared by chefs at the Epicurean Hotel.

Big City Events has been making some big strides to transform the party and event culture in Tampa, and Margarita Festival definitely looks like one that will stick around. So make sure to reserve your margarita, frozen or on-the-rocks, this weekend!
