If you watched football, or even got out the house and did anything this weekend, chances are you saw some pink; the color commemorating breast cancer awareness month throughout October.  The NFL, other organizations, and individuals across the world will commemorate breast cancer awareness through events like fundraisers, walks, and wearing pink to raise awareness for this terrible disease.

There's no shortage of events you can visit throughout the month of October in Tampa that commemorate and raise funds for breast cancer research and awareness.  Here are a few worth the visit.

Pink Party People, October 9, 4 p.m. - Head to Gaspar's Grotto in Ybor City to party, and support the folks with the Singing Stone Gallery on the fundraising journey to the American Cancer Society Making Strides Against Breast Cancer Walk. Complimentary pink drink with a donation at the door, raffle prizes, live music, and more.

Tickle Me Pink Comedy Jam, October 16, 7 p.m. - Going down at the Boomerang Martini Bar in Brandon, the Tickle Me Pink Comedy Jam is an all-star comedy show with proceeds going toward breast cancer awareness.  Watch and laugh to comedians including Roz G from Last Comic Standing, Vanessa Fraction, and Catherine Maloney.

Yoga for the Cure, October 23, 10 a.m. - This special edition of Yoga in the Park at Fred Ball Park in Downtown Tampa will require a $15 fee that will go toward the Florida Suncoast Affiliate of Susan G Komen for the Cure.
