When it comes to fun and free things to do in Tampa, there are few areas quite like Downtown Tampa when it comes to having a good time without breaking the bank.  From the free, monthly Rock the Park concerts at Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park to the Mayor's Food Truck Fiesta, and more, free things to do abound in the Downtown Tampa area.

Do the Local Motion is another one of these fun, free, and family-friendly events in Downtown Tampa and it's sure to please anyone seeking a wildly fun time at no cost.  Taking place every other Friday at Lykes Gaslight Square Park, Do the Local Motion is a one of a kind, themed walking tour of Downtown Tampa.

Do the Local Motion will kick off its 2013 run with a special "dance walk" taking place this Friday, January 4th at 12 p.m.  DLTM is partnering with the Downtown YMCA to get locals moving and dancing with zumba instructors on hand to teach adults and kids of all ages a few moves to show off.  Whether it's Gangnam Style or the Dougie, you can dance or walk through Downtown Tampa with this special event.

There will be a stop at the Downtown Tampa Tropical Smoothie to keep you refreshed during the dance walk and more attractions on hand to keep things interesting.

Check out the video below to get a glimpse of what the dance walk is all about, then lace up those dancing shoes for this fun, free, Do the Local Motion dance walk taking place this Friday, January 4.
