It's that time of the year again- the time when you dress up and take the kids out for some Halloween fun!  Here are a handful of family-friendly Halloween events in Tampa perfect for the big and little ones alike.

ZooBoo - Tampa's largest family Halloween event is back at Lowry Park Zoo for its 14th year of fun on select nights from September 28 through October 28.  With five different haunted houses and a spooky fun fair, there is something for everyone. ZooBoo will also have animal exhibits, free rides, a family sleepover (October 6) and Boo Zoo classes (October 24-26).  Tickets range from $10-$17, depending on the date and child's age.

Guppyween - The Florida Aquarium will open its doors to the children on Sunday, October 28 from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. for their annual Guppyween Halloween event.  Sponsored by Tampa Bay Parenting Magazine, this event will feature a night of trick-or-treating with entertainment for the children and more.  All normal galleries and exhibits will stay open for viewing.  Tickets for adults and children 12 years and old are $12; tickets for kids in costume are $2.

Fall Festival - The fall festival at HorsePower for Kids will take place every Saturday and Sunday in October, beginning October 6, from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m.  Admission, which is cash only, is $8 for adults and $10 for children. Admission includes a hot dog and soda.  The fall festival includes pony, hay, and train rides, farm animals, face painting, games, a bonfire, live music, and more!  For an additional cost, kids can visit a special pumpkin patch as well.

For events outside of the Tampa area, check out Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween at Walt Disney World and Brick-or-Treat at Legoland.

Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party - Bring the kids out to see their favorite Disney characters at Magic Kingdom for Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween Party.  Guests of all ages are encouraged to dress up in a costume to trick-or-treat around the park.  Magic Kingdom will transform into a world of happy haunted hallows, with Disney characters dressing up in special Halloween costumes.  There will also be a Disney villains firework show, "Boo-to-You" Halloween parade and special entertainment.  Mickey's Not-So-Scary Halloween is going on now through October 31.

Brick-or-Treat - Legoland will play host to its Brick-or-Treat Halloween event every Saturday and Sunday in October.  The event will consist of trick-or-treating along the brick-or-treat trail, a LEGO pumpkin build, Monster Fighters scavenger hunt, a costume contest and a dance party.
