Now in the midst of its third season, the Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village has become a must-visit destination for anyone looking to shop for a bounty of locally-farmed produce, eggs, herbs, fruit and more in Hyde Park.

The Fresh Market takes place on the first Sunday of each month at Hyde Park Village which means this upcoming Sunday, August 4.

This year, there's a pedestrian-friendly street closure at the intersection of Swann and Dakota to accommodate for a bigger variety of local food vendors, hand crafts, and live music than years before.

A variety of local farms and food vendors will be on hand to sell a bounty of great eats including a huge variety of produce (regularly fresher and cheaper compared to the store), organic and soy-free eggs, fresh herbs and plants, organic fertilizer and variety of gardening supplies.

The Hyde Park Village Fresh Market also features a Kids Market presented by Fit Kids Playground.  Here, kids can not only buy, but work as young entrepreneurs and sell goods from their very own vending spot.  Stop by to browse an array of kid-friendly products ranging from purses to hair ties, artwork, sno-cones, baked goods and more.

There's enough space for 10 to 15 vendors and kids are encouraged to manage and run their own vendor booth as well as handle all sales for the hand crafted items they make themselves.  Kids (or parents) interested should email tampakidsmarket@gmail.com for more information.

Sound good?  The next Fresh Market at Hyde Park Village will take place this Sunday, August 4 from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. and every first Sunday of the month for the rest of the year.
