The Tampa Bay area is teeming with local musical talent ranging from acoustic singer songwriters to epic metal bands, EDM DJs, jazz troupes, and so much more.  Discovering some amazing local music in a live setting is a feeling like no other and, with a music scene like Tampa's, the odds are it's probably not that hard to find.

Starting today, Tampa residents and visitors alike will get the chance to do just that with the Friday Extra Concert Series.

Now in its 25th year, this FREE weekly concert will play host to an assortment of great local musicians every Friday from now until the end of May at both Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park and Lowry Park Zoo.

Bring the whole family and enjoy a variety of genres ranging from a James Taylor cover band to acoustic folk, rockabilly, and more.
