Between Thanksgiving and Christmas you can be sure there will be a ton of holiday events all throughout the Tampa Bay area.  From family-friendly parades to wild, nightclub parties, the holiday season is sure to be an awesome one with all these Tampa events. Ybor City is one Tampa neighborhood that definitely goes all out when it comes to awesome holiday events in Tampa.  Here are a few worth checking out.

Centro Ybor Tree Lighting Ceremony, November 30 – Head to Centro Ybor and watch as the giant, 34 foot tree gets lit up for the first time to kick off the holiday season.  Live Christmas carolers will be on hand singing a variety of holiday songs as well.  Best of all, it’s FREE and perfect for the entire family.  Begins at 6:30 p.m.

Miracle on 7th Avenue, December 1The Ritz Ybor hosts this annual holiday celebration featuring complimentary Hors d’oeuvres, Holiday Cocktails, Photos with Santa, Holiday Arts & Crafts and Live Entertainment by The Ken Apperson Band.  The party kicks off at 6 p.m.

Santa Pub Crawl, December 1o – Dress up in your favorite holiday garb and bar hop across Ybor City with this annual pub crawl for charity.  It all kicks of at the Honey Pot beginning at 6:30.  Tickets are $30 and $20 if you come dressed up in holiday gear and bring a new, unwrapped toy for Tampa kids and families in need.

Snow on 7th Ave, December 16-17 – Snow?  In Florida?  Walk down 7th avenue (between 15th and 17th Street) and watch as the snow falls turning Ybor into a winter wonderland.  This free, one of a kind experience begins at 8 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

Parking in Ybor City can be found at either the Centro Ybor garage at E. 6th Ave. & N. 15th St. or the Palm Ave. garage at E. 9th Ave. & N. 13th St.  Take note that both hike their rates up after 10 p.m. Thursday through Sunday; Thursday – $6, Friday -  $8, and Saturday – $10.
