Ignite Tampa Bay 2013 will take over the Tampa Theatre on the evening of Thursday, April 25 for a night of inspiration, education, and entertainment from various people throughout the Tampa Bay creative community.

Kicking off at 6 p.m., Ignite Tampa Bay will host a diverse series of fast-paced, bite-sized presentations from community members sharing their personal or professional passions.

“Enlighten us, but make it quick” is the mantra and key to Ignite talks, according to their website.  Each speaker will have five minutes with 20 slides behind them automatically advancing every 15 seconds, so the excitement will be high as these figures try to spread these inspiring ideas as succinctly as possible.

Ignite Tampa Bay's speakers will include a variety of Tampa community members involved in technology, arts, communications, education, non-profit, government, and more on the night of April 25.

Speakers will include Tampa International Airport CEO Joe Lopano giving a talk called "TIA: Gateway to Tampa's Future"; Sophie B. Liu, a a Mendenhall Postdoctoral Research Fellow at the U.S. Geological Survey (USGS) talking about crisis crowdsourcing and social media in disaster situations; "You Wear Clothes? Tampa Bay's Fashion Scene & Why It Matters" by Tampa Bay Fashion Week's Nancy Vaughn, and more.
