If you've got the little ones in tow, or are just looking for a fun, free, and family-friendly experience this New Year's Eve in Tampa, the Light Up Tampa Bay New Year's Eve at Channelside will provide a great setting to ring in 2013.
This year, Light Up Tampa Bay will celebrate its 10th anniversary with a huge variety of live music, kids attractions, fireworks, food, and more.
It all kicks off at 4 p.m. at the Channelside Bay Plaza shopping complex where live bands and DJs will perform in the courtyard all throughout the day and evening. In addition, there will be balloon artists, dancing, face painters, and more for the whole family to enjoy.
Once midnight strikes, fireworks will shoot off over the wharf right in time with the ball drop in Times Square to ring in 2013. If you're looking for the best view of the fireworks, get to Channelside early. The fireworks are free to watch, but only 2,700 free wristbands will be distributed for admission to the wharf.
The Channelside Bay Plaza courtyard will stay open until 3 a.m.
