This past weekend Mat Kearney brought his "Just Kids" Tour through Florida with Judah & The Lion. After starting out in Ft. Lauderdale, the Just Kids Tour headed to Tampa to stop in Ybor City at The Ritz on Saturday, May 9th.

Judah & The Lion, a folk-bluegrass group from Nashville, opened the show for Kearney. J&TL began their set with "Kickin' Da Leaves", the first song on their new album Kids These Days.

J&TL put on a great show with their happy, uplifting music. They sang tracks off of their new album, tracks from their older albums and even covers of popular 'throwback' songs.

The crowd particularly enjoyed "Hold On" and "Water" on J&TL's new album. By the group's last song everyone in the building was dancing and singing along as J&TL went crazy on stage.

Before their last song of the night, Judah Akers, singer of J&TL, said "Eat more chocolate, go to the beach more and listen to more Mat Kearney and Judah & The Lion"  I couldn't agree more!

Mat Kearney came on stage around 9:30p.m. He opened with "Heartbreak Dreamer", the first track off of his new album, Just Kids, and the crowd went crazy immediately.

Kearney demonstrated the name of his album and tour by letting loose and having fun acting just like a kid as he performed his show. He was bouncing around stage, singing and dancing on top of boxes and pianos.

For his track, "Runaway" from the Deluxe Edition of his album Young Love, Kearney walked through the crowd, hugging, singing, dancing and taking selfies with the crowd.

After his last song, "Hey Mama", the crowd chanted for an encore and Kearney came back to the stage to perform two last songs: "Just Kids" and "Ships in The Night".

The Just Kids Tour headed to Orlando Sunday night and Ponte Vedra Beach Monday night. After Florida, the tour will make its' way to Louisana, Texas, Oklahoma and more!

The Ritz in Ybor City hosts Ciara this Saturday, May 16th. Next month, Tycho will be performing June 6th, and The War On Drugs on June 15th. For more information and tickets click here.
