Sometimes it’s hard to realize when you live here, but the Tampa Bay area is a fantastic destination for tourists seeking a bit of fun in the sun and so much more in this tropical metropolis of ours.

This is why Tampa Bay & Company plans to draw attention to our vibrant tourism industry with a full week of events throughout Tampa Bay to celebrate National Tourism Week.

The week kicks off on Monday, May 7 when Raymond James Stadium will play host to the 9th Annual Hospitality Olympics kicking off at 3:30 p.m.  The Hospitality Olympics will pit teams of hospitality workers from restaurants, hotels, and more across Tampa against each other in a series of hospitality-related challenges at Raymond James.

On Tuesday, May 8 Tampa Bay & Company will host their Rally Day for Tourism at the Tampa International Airport.  The Rally Day for Tourism will bring a number of notable community members and Tampa tourism industry professionals to rally for all the great benefits of tourism in Tampa.

A National Tourism Week Luncheon will follow the Rally Day for Tourism on the next day, Wednesday, May 9.   The Luncheon will take place at the Tampa Marriott Waterside Hotel and Marina.  Here, Tampa Bay & Company will give out their prestigious Gonzmart Family Ambassador of the Year Award and the Bern Laxer Awards of Excellence.

Individual ticket prices to the National Tourism Week Luncheon range from $45 and upward.  To RSVP, visit www.visittampabay.com/meetings.
