Over the Edge for Heartbeat International in Downtown Tampa

It’s not everyday you get to rappel down a skyscraper in Downtown Tampa, or better yet, toss your boss down one, but for 75 lucky people in Tampa this will become a reality come Saturday, November 19.

Those who fundraise over $1,000 for Heartbeat International will get the rare opportunity to go over the edge of the Franklin Exchange Building and rappel down 22 stories with the assistance of a harness, helmet, and rigging from Over the Edge, a company that helps organizations fundraise with signature rappelling events like this one.

It’s all going down in the name of Heartbeat International, a non profit dedicated to researching and treating heart disease, the number one cause of death in America and around the world.  You can register as a participant in this awesome event by heading to the Over the Edge registration page where you’ll be able to create a profile page to help you fundraise and reach that $1,000 goal.  Remember, Over the Edge is limited to the first 75 people who reach the pledge.

If you’re part of a corporate team environment, you can participate in the Toss Your Boss program your boss (who must be willing) will go over the edge if the pledge goal is reached.  For more information on Toss Your Boss, visit the page here.

If you want to support, you can donate to any of the participants on the donation page or just spread the word about Over the Edge for Heartbeat International through social networks like Facebook or Twitter.

Mark it down on your calendar, Saturday, November 19.  Even if you’re not participating, there will be plenty of ground-level events at Over the Edge for Heartbeat International at the Franklin Exchange Building in Downtown Tampa.
