The Tampa Theatre will return with their annual movie-themed wine festival, this year deemed Rebel Without a Cork, from September 20-22.

This 12th annual Winefest at the Tampa Theatre will bring three days of fine wines, local cuisine, fundraising for Tampa’s premiere movie theatre, and more to Downtown Tampa in late September.

Rebel Without a Cork will kick off with a premier wine-pairing dinner on Friday, September 20 at 7 p.m.  Dinner will be served right on the Tampa Theatre stage with catering provided by renowned Tampa restaurant Mis En Place and chef Marty Blitz.  Head out and get treated to a five course meal with exclusive wine pairings for each.

The festivities will continue on Saturday, September 21 with the big Wine Tasting event kicking off at 8 p.m. Featuring a variety of local cuisine, boutique wines and entertainment, this is the event to attend if you're looking to get the best of the Rebel Without a Cork Winefest.

Local eateries on hand will include Anise Global Gastrobar, AQUA Bar & Grille, Bavaro’s Pizza Napoletana & Pastaria, Bern’s Steak House,Catrina’s Cocina Y Galeria, Donatello, Ella’s Americana Folk Art Cafe, Sweet Tweets Cakery and Viktoria Richards Chocolates.

Wineries in attendance will include Buried Cane Wines, Cadaretta Wines, Clayhouse Wines, Coopers Hawk Winery, Longboard Vineyards and Rutherford Wine Company.

Of course, in the spirit of the theme, the 1955 classic Rebel Without A Cause will be playing on the big screen and movie-related attire is encouraged.

It all culminates with a Wine Brunch on Sunday, Sept. 22 with breakfast selections from local restaurants including Catrina’s Cocina Y Galeria, Cafe Hey, La Segunda Central Bakery, Mad Dogs & Englishmen, Michael’s Grill, Pane Rustica and Victory Coffee.

There will also be mimosas and a selection of light wines including Auspicion, Due Torri, Gran Pasion Sparkling Wines, Lobetia Organic wines, Julia James, Savida Sangria and Villa Rosa.
