The Summer of Rum Festival is THIS weekend at the Historic Cuban Club in Ybor City!

Inside the Club, on the top floor you can taste 40 different rums, the tasting is included in the V.I.P. experience and an additional ticket for GA ticket holders.  Captain Morgan, Oh Captain, My Captain, how I love you, will be celebratin’ the pirate life on the second floor with streaming movies and a right scurvy looking group set to be servin’ up The Captain’s pirate best at the long bar!

If Mojitos are more to your liking head to the first floor’s Cruzan Cantina where DJ Cardinal will keep up the beat and you can salsa all night long! Personally, I have never met a Rum Drink I did not like and plan on checking out all three floors!

Headlining the stage on the Patio will be ‘Hip Abduction’, a pop/alt.-rock band from across the bay in St. Petersburg. ‘Control This’ will be in from Orlando, I’ve caught this band before and they are one of my favorite ska bands.  If you like reggae you must see these guys! ‘UNRB’ will also be on hand.  I have read a lot and heard great things but never had the opportunity to see this uniquely diverse group of musicians, I am looking forward to hearing their electric ukulele. Jim Morris will be on his guitar and ‘Badda Skat’ and ‘Pressure Dem’ will be there, both ska/reggae bands.

Tickets are limited but still available; rain will not be an issue since the Cuban Club will be open; so follow the link, grab a ticket and plan on being there!  Tickets start at $17 advance for GA, $30 for the tasting, and $85 advance for the V.I.P. experience.
