The word ‘Tucci’ might ring a bell for students in Tampa. If you’re looking for the best in Tampa nightlife without crushing the wallet, getting familiar with Tucci is definitely worth it, we promise.

Clint Bertucci, the owner and organizer of the Tucci Foundation and Tucci Tours, is a soon-to-be USF Graduate leaving his stamp on the Tampa nightlife scene in a powerfully fun way.

First, he’s organized the Tucci Tour, a Friday and Saturday night enterprise that charter-busses students from USF and surrounding areas to a number of nightclubs in SoHo. Charging $15 for the round trip, the Tucci Tour gets you either a drink special or free cover and a free drink at popular upscale and college clubs in South Tampa including MacDintons, The Rack, The Kennedy, Drynk, Hyde Park Café, Mangroves, Cheap, and Yard of Ale. If you are a bit low on funds but are still looking for an adventurous night out, attend a Tucci event with enough free and discounted drinks to get you straight Charlie Sheen-ing in no time!

The bus picks up at the Boardwalk Apartment Complex at 10:15, USF Greek Village at 10:30, and the Province Apartment Complex at 10:45. It stops at Kennedy, Howard Ave. & Azeele St., Hyde Park Café, Channelside and Jacksons. If you can’t hang until last call, the Tucci Tour returns at 1 a.m. and 3 a.m. for your riding pleasure. Oh yes, and if it is your birthday, you are riding free! Not bad, right?

Masquerade at Jackson's in Tampa

In addition to the Tucci Tours, Bertucci also organizes monthly parties in the name of the Tucci Foundation. The foundation will host events at locations around Tampa like Jackson’s and The Kennedy then donate a generous portion of the revenue to a selected Tampa charity; typically the Children’s Home or the Police Athletic League of Tampa.

Covers are typically $10 for ladies and $15 for guys in advance. If there is room, the walk-up cover charge runs around $15 for ladies and $20 for guys.

The next Tucci Foundation event, Masquerade, is at Jackson’s on April 22nd and sure to be huge; we’re talking red carpet entrance (paparazzi included), masks, door gifts, professional dancers, stilt walkers, a photo booth, and some sweet drink specials. The Tucci Tour will be heading out there as well so you can get your swag on without the risks of driving, which is always a good thing.
