Alright, USF students.  Whether you like it or not, the Fall semester is fast approaching bringing an end to another (what we hope was) a relaxing, fun-filled summer as a young adult here in Tampa Bay or wherever you call home.  If you didn't know, classes start on Monday, August 22 this year and it's fast approaching.

Preparing for the semester can be rough, we know, especially after an awesome summer and, even more so if you're entering your first year as a Bull.  Luckily, the University of South Florida's got your back with Week of Welcome, a Fall semester tradition rife with events that'll get you pumped and ready for the year to come.

Week of Welcome starts with a kick-off party on Wednesday, August 17 with free food, live music, free photos and many more fun happenings throughout the afternoon.  The party starts at 4 p.m. and ends with a ball drop commemorating the start of a new school year.

On Thursday, August 18 enjoy a free comedy hypnotist show from CJ Johnson.  Sit back and laugh or be a part of the action as USF students are hynotized by this one of a kind magician.

Check out the African Student Association's soccer tournament on Saturday, August 20 if you're into getting out there and showing off your fancy footwork.  Walk-on as a free agent or bring some friends and see if you can take it all.

Once school starts, get familiarized with student organizations and departments across campus during Week of Welcome with the Bull Market Bonanza at the Marshall Student Center (MSC) Plaza on Wednesday, August 24.  Browse local vendors, get familiar with a surprisingly diverse assortment of student organization and be well on your way to being an involved student on campus.

The main event of Week of Welcome goes down on Thursday, August 25.  Deemed USF Round Up, this event is a campus tradition dating back years.  A night of fun and live entertainment at the track and field stadium, Round Up is the official way to kick the year off right.  This semester, the one and only Ralphie May of Last Comic Standing will be appearing as the headliner as well as a ton of live entertainment and happenings going on throughout the night at the stadium.

This is really just the tip of the iceberg when it comes to all the events happening throughout Week of Welcome at the University of South Florida.  For more information, visit the USF Week of Welcome website here.  Have fun and good luck on a great, upcoming school year!
