the bouncers and doorguy are complete jerks! went there wednesday night w my roomie and boyfriend... before even checking our id's or even greeting us the doorguy said there was no cover but we had to tip him? i've worked in hospitality for over 10 yrs and my boyfriend works security at clubs and i know these guys get paid hourly and in no way should be asking for a tip... the tip jar is right there, right!?... we did tip him anyways... we took about five steps in on the patio section and my man ran into his friend... i told him me and my roomie were going inside to get a drink... we walked in probably another 20 ft to the bar and were there a min and my boyfriend called me on my phone and said he got kicked out?? we went back outside and the bouncers said he took too long to tuck his shirt in?? wtf? we were literally inside for two mins and he got kicked out because they wouldn't let him to tuck his shirt in... the doorguy came up to my boyfriend while he was talking to his friend and asked him to tuck his shirt in... my boyfriend said he would and he walked away.... as he was tucking his shirt in a bouncer came up and tapped him on the shoulder and told him to come outside and told him he couldn't come back in because he took too long to tuck his shirt in!!?? i live in ybor city and always go out to eat at green iguana in ybor and never ever had a problem and we're good friends with the bartenders there... i even worked there when i was 18... we've been together two years and go out at least twice a week and have never had any issues until we went here... those guys know they're wrong and i really think that they were discriminating against him... i do plan on contacting their management about the situation that occured

I am a fan of the Green Iguana "chain" in the Tampa area. They each have their own character to them too. So I always recommend trying them all out.
