They've finally 'dropped' the big news. On Tuesday morning, officials from Busch Gardens Tampa announced their plans for a new drop-tower ride called Falcon's Fury, set to be the largest of its kind in North America when it opens in 2014.
Like many anticipated, Falcon's Fury will take after the similar Mach Tower ride at Busch Gardens' sister park in Williamsburg, VA. Once finished, it will reach a towering 335 feet from its freestanding location inside the Timbuktu section of the park.
The ride will take multiple guests in secured, seated positions up to its peak before rotating the seats 90 degrees and dropping the riders at a speed of 60 mph and 3.5 Gs straight down. Check out the Youtube video below to see a simulated video of Falcon's Fury in action.
Falcon's Fury is expected to debut sometime during the spring of 2014.
