Ahh, karaoke. Few things are so fun, entertaining, and happily embarrassing all the same time. Yeah, sure, you don’t “do” karaoke. If you’re looking for a place in Tampa to totally not do karaoke and just look really cool while everyone else does, these places have you covered.
MacDinton’s – MacDinton’s is a classic Irish pub and local favorite for college kids in the area. They host karaoke three nights a week on Tuesday (10 p.m. – close), Wednesday (9:30 p.m. – close), and Thursday (9:30 p.m. – close). Enjoy $2 Warsteiner Drafts, $2.50 Three Olive Vodka, and $4 Three Olive Vodka Shots on Tuesday, $10 open bar from 9 to 11 p.m. on Wednesday, and Thursday specials including $1 Miller Lights, $4 Jack Daniels, and $5 Three Olives bombs.
Chelsea Bar and Nightclub - This Ybor City nightclub hosts karaoke nights on Fridays and Sundays. On Fridays, enjoy karaoke with host, Julius Vaughn from 8 till midnight. They’ve got a ton of specials including $3 Corona, $3 PBR Tall Boys, and $3.50 Pucker Vodka cocktails from 9 p.m.
Pegasus Lounge – Pegasus lounge is a great bar near USF featuring live music and karaoke nights on Mondays and Wednesdays. Lazer Ray Karaoke runs from 10 p.m. till 3 a.m. on Mondays. Choose from over 1,200 songs and enjoy free pool as well as $5 pitchers all night long. Wednesdays are Pornaoke at Pegasus Lounge. It’s exactly how it sounds, karaoke with what we’re sure is super, completely non-distracting video of people getting it on in the background. Pegasus was voted best karaoke bar in Creative Loafing‘s Best of the Bay 2010.
Remedy Bar & Lounge – This neighborhood bar is the perfect place to be for a fun and drinks in Westchase. Enjoy karaoke every Tuesday night from 10 p.m. to 2 a.m. Belt it out and enjoy 2-for-1 deals on most regularly priced drinks.
