Dog Friendly Bars in Tampa | Drinking With Man’s Best Friend

By: Andrew Silverstein

Dogs; they’re not called “man’s best friend” for the heck of it.  These four-legged, furry pals are loyal guardians, fun buddies, and, frankly, the best pet you can have (we might be a little biased here).  For this, there’s no wonder why people would want to bring their beloved pups everywhere they go.  Relaxing with a drink in hand, chatting with some friends, Fido chilling right at your feet, it really doesn’t get much better than that.  So where can you do this in the area?  Lucky for us, we’ve got a few, great, dog-friendly bars in Tampa.

New World Brewery – Located in historic Ybor City, New World is a veritable adult playground for anyone who loves delicious craft beers, live local music, and some killer wood-fired pizza.  Their outdoor patio is the main attraction and your pup is most definitely welcome.

Gaspar’s Grotto – Gaspar’s Grotto is another outdoor patio-centric watering hole in Ybor City perfect for you and the pooch.  Big, small, it doesn’t matter, Gaspars encourages you to bring the dog along.  While you’re there enjoy drinks from their full bar or delectable menu items including ribs, wood-fired pizza, sandwiches, and more.

Tampa Bay Brewing Company – Relax on the outdoor patio at Tampa Bay Brewing Company with a tall pint for you and complimentary water bowl for the pup.  Enjoy one of their award-winning brews like the Old Elephant Foot IPA, Redeye Ale, Iron Rat Stout, and much more.  A full food menu is also available and boasts an assortment of burgers, salads, sandwiches, and other bar fare.

The Sail Pavilion – The Sail Pavilion might just be the best dog-friendly bar in Tampa.  They feature complimentary, stainless steel water bowls, a cleanup station, and free treats for Fido as you relax with a drink or enjoy something from the menu.  Live music on many nights of the week make it a great place to kick back and relax in Downtown Tampa.

Fly Bar – Bring your (leashed) dog to Fly Bar and enjoy the company as you sip on one of their signature cocktails and some tapas from their eclectic menu.  Enjoy a variety of beers and wines as well as signature cocktails including the 1202 with Ketel One Citreon, pineapple, and lemongrass or the Fly Sangria with brandy, apples, and oranges.

If you’re attached at the hip with man’s best friend, you owe it to yourself to check out these dog-friendly bars in Tampa.
