James Joyce Irish Pub, the premier Irish pub in historic Ybor City has moved from its former digs in the cozy upstairs building lining 7th Avenue to a bigger and better location on 8th Avenue at the former Mema's Alaskan Tacos location.

The new James Joyce Irish Pub opened last weekend with an all-out bang (pictures to the right) that's sure to be a great sign of things to come for this new Irish pub in Ybor City.  They set up a massive beer tent in the huge, neighboring parking lot with live music from Pitbull Toddler and Three Pint Harmony.

Inside the new James Joyce you'll find a new, expansive bar area complete with 50, yes, 50 beer taps, 100 different bottled beers, a full liquor selection, and authentic Irish food.

Dining selections at James Joyce Irish Pub include an assortment of Irish classics and traditional bar food.  Menu highlights include Drunken Guinness Mussels, Fish and Chips, Shephard's Pie, Bangers and Mash, a variety of burgers, and more.

James Joyce's new location also comes complete with two cozy fireplaces, real dark hardwood floors, hand carved trim and detail, private nooks for couples, and a large patio.  They will also host live music on Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays and utilize the huge parking lot for upcoming events like parade parties, St. Patrick's Day festivities, charity events, and their wildly popular midget wrestling events.
