Grammy-winning singer and former American Idol judge, Paula Abdul, will be appearing at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino on Friday, January 11 to commemorate the grand opening of the its newest expansion.

Abdul will play the ceremonial first hand of black jack in the new expansion area, which will consist of its new Jubao Palace gaming complex and a handful of more high-limit tables.  As part of the event, the Hard Rock will also unveil a new, permanent display of the iconic dress Abdul wore in her 1989 video for the single "Cold-Hearted".

Tampa native-turned internationally renowned DJ and performing artist, Ravi Drums will close out the night with an amazing after party taking place at the Hard Rock Cafe inside the hotel and casino.  Drums was voted 2010 Peoples Choice “The Worlds Best Innovative Dj/Drummer” and is credited with inventing the process of live drum playing while re-mixing.  He's recorded and performed with the likes of Will Smith, Ricky Martin, the Black Eyed Peas and Lil' Jon.

This smaller expansion follows the Hard Rock Hotel's huge, 32,000-foot expansion unveiled back in July.  Jubao Palace, the newest gaming complex, features a variety of Asian inspired casino games like Pai Gow Tiles and Asia Poker.  It will also feature a new noodle bar serving fare including beef pho and roast duck.

The Seminole Hard Rock Casino's newest expansions now place it as the fourth largest casino in the country.  For more information, visit seminolehardrocktampa.com.
