Along with a team of other ownership partners, Tampa Bay Rays third baseman Evan Longoria has invested his money and likeness into a soon-to-be-opened sports bar and restaurant in South Tampa.

Ducky's Sports Lounge, described as a "boutique sports bar", will be located at 1719 W Kennedy Blvd. and is set to open its doors sometime in the fall.

Along with two other main investors and seven overall owners in the $850,000 project, Longoria's oversight will be mainly in the food department.  He hopes to craft a menu that differentiates itself from "normal" bar food and keeps people coming back, the Tampa Bay Times reported earlier this year.

Longoria took to Twitter yesterday to announce that Ducky's is taking applications for anyone interested in bar- or restaurant-related jobs in Tampa.  "Reminder that @DuckysTampa is taking applications. I will pledge tickets to a game later in the year for everyone on staff! We need the best," Longoria tweeted on Monday.

Those looking to work at Ducky's should head to duckystampa.com/employment and fill out an application.

In addition to food and the co-sign of one of the most recognizable names on the Rays' lineup, the standout feature at Ducky's will be mini bowling (a.k.a. duckpin bowling) which uses palm-sized balls as well as smaller pins and lanes compared to regular bowling.

Ducky's will stay open every day of the week, serving lunch, dinner and a late-night menu until 3 a.m.  It will boast a huge variety of screens for watching all the big sports games and live entertainment, the Times reports.
