Tampa's Seminole Hard Rock Casino has just opened a 32,000 square foot expansion to their massive premises.  Racking up a bill of $75 million, the expansion adds more parking, more slot machines, more restaurants and an additional small room of slot machines.

According to Seminole Hard Rock officials, this makes the Tampa casino the sixth largest casino in the world based on gaming positions.

This expansion brings up the total number of slot machines at the casino from 4,200 to 5,000; the number of parking spaces from 3,700 to over 5,000; and the number of table games from a modest 94 to 110.  In addition, there is now a moving sidewalk to speed up the walk to the gaming floor and a brand-new themed restaurant called Rise Kitchen & Bakery.

Rise is the "ultimate twist on nostalgic favorites" according to casino officials.  The brand new restaurant offers a menu featuring fresh soups, inventive salads, flatbreads, sandwiches and over 40 sweet treats made from scratch daily.  Their 10 hearth ovens bake artisan bread daily in the beautiful, open-view kitchen.

After all is said and done, the expansion will bring the total area of the gaming space at the Seminole Hard Rock Casino up to 190,000 square feet.  In addition, the expansion has brought somewhere to the tune of 1,000 jobs in sectors like hospitality and construction to the Tampa Bay area.
