Atlanta-based beer company and second largest craft brewery in the South, SweetWater Brewing Company has announced plans to expand into the Tampa and Orlando, Florida markets this fall.

Sweetwater, widely revered for their laid-back, hippie vibe and vibrantly flavorful beers, will kick off their arrival in these two new cities with their flagship pale ale - Sweetwater 420 - infiltrating the taps at select bars, pubs and restaurants throughout the Tampa Bay and Orlando area.

According to a statement from the company, SweetWater's signature rainbow trout tap handles for their Sweetwater 420 beer will begin appearing in Tampa in late October with Orlando following shortly thereafter in late November.   There is still no word on which company, or companies, Sweetwater will use to distribute these beers in their new Florida markets.

After introducing the Sweetwater 420 on draft in Tampa and Orlando, SweetWater Brewing Company will eventually introduce more of their beers to both markets in the form of drafts and six-packs at select retailers.

This expansion comes as a result of Sweetwater's burgeoning popularity in a handful of other markets throughout the country.  With the recent construction of a new, 250-barrel brew house and the addition of more fermentation tanks at their Atlanta facilities, Sweetwater is now poised for a great deal of upward growth in the craft beer industry.
