With so many bars around the bay area in nightlife-centric areas like Ybor City, Channelside, and Downtown Tampa, a night on the town can start feeling a bit monotonous after a while. Opened in 1938, and switching names multiple times throughout its time here (most recently, it was known as The Mousetrap), The Retreat is a simple, no-frills bar seeped in history and classic fun for all.
They once held the record for the most beers ever sold in the Guinness Book of World Records and still keep the beer tradition alive today with a wide assortment of domestic and imported beers on tap as well as top shelf and well liquor and house wine.
