Your best friend is dying to go out to play! Yes, your pup loves you unconditionally and still will even if you just go for a walk around the house... but where should you take them when they've been extra-lovable and want to run free? Here's a great list of the best dog parks in Tampa that are sure to get tails wagging!

Al Lopez Park is a favorite of many. This dog park has a track that's a bit over a mile long to exercise your dogs while you take your jog! Just as fun for the humans as well, with fishing piers, restrooms, grills, ponds, and picnic areas. You may find yourself wanting to stay a while longer! 4810 North Himes, Tampa, FL 33614

A personal favorite in Channelside, Deputy John Kotfila, Jr. Memorial Dog Park ensures the fur-parents on pet safety. The park creates a safe place with two different areas for large dogs as well as small ones. The area is just big enough where your canines can run free and play, but small enough that you can easily access them in case something were to happen. They also have obstacle courses to train your pup! And with easy hand press water fountains, it makes it quick and simple to hydrate your pup! It's also always very clean, with fake grass so no muddy and dirty dogs come out, and its all shaded by the interstate right above, the ideal location during those hot summer days! 705 Raymond St., Tampa, FL 33602

To mix up your typical dog parks in Tampa experience down on DI, Davis Island Dog Beach gives you a new way to play with your pup! During a humid day, this is a great option as your fur baby can run around, play in the sand and in the water with lots of other dogs... promising you a very tired dog afterward! Worried about having a mess of a dog to bring back home? This park provides a hose-off station to make sure all the sand, turned mud, is off you and your dogs! 1002 Severn St., Tampa, FL 33606

Tampa treasure Curtis Hixon Waterfront Park in downtown has a wonderful section for puppies! The park provides artificial turf, agility obstacles, and even doggie bags to clean up after your pet. The location in the southeast corner is beautiful and right on the water! It also doesn't get too crowded because there is a ten dog limit, making it safe and fun for both human and happy puppy alike. 600 N. Ashley Drive, Tampa, FL 33602

But Fido will definitely love this beach and have a great time swimming, running, and interacting with new furry friends! 7404 Picnic Island Blvd., Tampa, FL 33616

If you have children that will accompany you to bringing the family dog to the park, West Dog Park would be your best bet. This location offers a fenced-in playground for your kiddos, right next to the fenced-in area for the dog! It makes it easy to keep your eye on both, and the park is very spacious with lots of trees and is always very clean and well-kept. 6402 Occident St., Tampa, FL 33614
