From the late night pizza windows to the classier establishments with brick and wood ovens, this portable Italian pie can be found seemingly everywhere in this famous historic district. But, you want the goods stuff right? Here’s where you can find the best pizza in Ybor City.
New York, New York Pizza – We visited New York, New York Pizza on our Taste Tour of 813 last week and it definitely lived up to its reputation. Their baked-just-right New York style pies hit the spot perfectly, especially after a long night at the club. They also have a walk-up window with ready to order selections including pepperoni, cheese, and supreme pizza.
Roma Pizza – Roma is another quick stop pizza shop in Ybor, but don’t let that fool you. Pizza is serious business here. Grab a big slice of NY style pizza on the fast and cheap with a taste that’s anything but.
New World Brewery – Beer and pizza, it doesn’t get much better. Get ‘em both at New World with a wide, quality variety of each. Their stone seared pizza selection includes white sauce, black bean, and tomato sauce varieties with topping like feta, artichoke, smoked chicken, fresh spinach, Italian sausage, and more.
Bernini – Bernini is the place to go for delicious Italian cuisine in Ybor. This definitely includes pizza with a wide assortment of ‘em including the New Yorker (Roasted Peppers, Onions, Mushrooms, Italian Sausage, Pepperoni, Mozzarella & Tomato Sauce), Margherita (Mozzarella, Basil, Classic Tomato Sauce), and The Gilroy (Roasted Garlic Puree, Mozzarella, Grilled Chicken, Goat Cheese, Sweet Onions, Marinated Artichokes & Tomatoes).
Tampa Bay Brewing Company – Ybor sure likes its pizza and beer joints. Get a pint of TBBC’s self-brewed beer and chow down on specialty hand tossed pizzas in varieties like barbecue chicken, wild mushroom, roasted garlic tomato basil, Philly cheese steak and more.
