Any business with 'Wild' in its title will likely feel right at home in the notoriously party-ful Ybor City district.  This is the situation Buffalo Wild Wings hopes to find itself in as the nationwide wing and sports bar franchise sets its sites on the heart of the historic district as the prime location for its newest restaurant.

If all goes according to plan, Buffalo Wild Wings will open a new location in Ybor City on Seventh Avenue across from Bernini of Ybor by the end of 2012 or early 2013.

The franchise has settled on a location at 1625 E. Seventh Ave. and is currently in the process of acquiring permission to sell alcoholic beverages at the new restaurant.  Buffalo Wild Wings representatives are set to appear before the Tampa City Council in July in hopes of gaining the approval to sell beer, wine, and liquor at the new restaurant.

Once finished, the new Buffalo Wild Wings in Ybor City will become one of the biggest restaurants in the area with an optimum capacity of 235 customers.

The Ybor City community, notoriously riddled with a majority of independently-owned businesses, might prove to be an oddball location for the nationwide chain, but the success of chains in Ybor like Spaghetti Warehouse show that it definitely can be done.

With two established Buffalo Wild Wings locations already in the 813 area (Brandon and Riverview), this new Ybor City location could easily solidify Buffalo Wild Wing's presence throughout Tampa Bay.  We'll keep you updated as more news arises regarding Buffalo Wild Wings in Ybor City.
