Look, burgers can be found anywhere.  It doesn't matter what type of restaurant it is, the highest of the high end or lowliest hole in the wall you can think of, burgers are fair game for a variety of eateries and their different takes on his slice of heaven between two buns.

If you're looking for a real burger made by those who love em, though, you've got to go somewhere where these things are the absolute crowning achievement of the menu, not some one-off just put there to pad the expensive entrees.  In Tampa, this place is undoubtedly Burger 21 in North Tampa.

Featuring the finest, 100% USDA Choice Beef on pillowy soft brioche buns, Burger 21 knows just what it takes to create both classic and delectably out-of-this-world burgers.

If you're looking for something a little more outside the box, try their Tex-Mex Haystack burger with lettuce, tomato, applewood-smoked bacon, smoked cheddar cheese, guacamole, crispy onion strings and chipotle-jalapeño sauce or their Memphis BBQ Pork Burger topped generously with BBQ pulled pork and crispy onion strings on a bed of chili pepper slaw, pickled cucumbers and BBQ sauce.

Burger 21 also features a number of seafood, chicken, and vegetarian burger options as well.  The vegetarian black bean burger is composed of a black bean veggie burger topped with lettuce, tomato, red onion, avocado, salsa, sun-dried tomato aïoli and cilantro sour cream on a whole wheat roll and seafood burgers like their Ahi tuna (fried panko-crusted ahi tuna with lettuce, tomato, spicy sriracha sauce, fresh avocado and pickled cucumbers, sesame bun) sound insanely delicious.

Burger 21 is in Westchase now, but come Fall, they'll open a new location at 11777 N. Dale Mabry in Carrollwood.  If you fancy yourself a burger lover in Tampa, you owe it to yourself to check out Burger 21.  Stop in, see what the hype's about, and be sure to rate and review Burger 21 here on 813area.com!
