Riding a seemingly neverending wave of success in Tampa and beyond, Cigar City Brewing opened its flagship restaurant and bar, Cigar City Brewpub, in North Tampa earlier this week.

Opened at a former TGI Friday's location at 15491 N. Dale Mabry Hwy., this new bar and restaurant in Tampa boasts an eclectic, Cuban- and Tampa-inspired menu for lunch and dinner, a variety of beers brewed on sight, modern decor throughout, and more.

Cigar City Brewpub's menu is divided evenly between snacks, plates, entrees, and sides.  Start your meal off with a small snack selection including High Marble Farms pork chicarrones, an empanada of the day with lime and house made hot sauce, and a delicious-sounding Cuban eggroll with house made glazed ham and roast pork, salami, swiss, pickles, and onion.

Plates yield slightly bigger portions of Cigar City Brewpub fare like rum-cured, white oak-smoked swordfish tacos; black bean cakes with tomato escabeche, avocado, and toasted cumin tzatziki; and CCB Sliders with grass fed beef, house made chorizo, melted leeks, shoestring fries, and mojo aoli.

But entrees are where you'll get the true brewpub experience.  Stop by Cigar City for a rich assortment of entrees including mojo roasted pork shoulder, wood-grilled natural chicken, ropa vieja, and more.

Cigar City Brewpub will brew a few Cigar City beers in-house as well as their own sodas, which include Newfangled Root Cream Soda and Shaman Pimienta Hypnotizing Soda.
