Earlier this week we brought you the news about Knife & Co.'s recent opening in Hyde Park.  Serving up an eclectic variety of from-scratch Southern fare, Knife & Co. is vying to be a one of a kind destination for both traditional and inventive down home cuisine in Tampa.

Now, they're proud to announce the acquisition of new executive chef, Allison Beasman.  Beasman is a graduate from the Florida Culinary Institute and has worked at lengendary Tampa restaurants including Berns and Sideberns over her eight year career in the area.

Knife & Co. recently parted ways with initial executive chef, Gary Moran who helped hone their unique menu of Southern brunch, lunch, and dinner entrees while the restaurant was in development.  Now, their future is bright for Beasman and Knife & Co.

While most of the menu will remain unchanged, Beasman and the restaurant plan to emphasize fresher ingredients in their appetizers and entrees.

Knife & Co. was closed for supper last night and will remain closed tonight to prepare for this transition.  Their rustic, southern inspired cuisine - including hand ground bacon burgers with white cheddar and jalapeno relish as well as meatloaf, and pork chops - is a welcome addition to the Tampa restaurant scene and definitely worth the try if you're looking for something new.
