Tampa's definitely experienced a proliferation in breweries, bars, and taverns catering to the growing craft beer scene in this country as of late, but one Tampa bar has been serving up those not-so-easy-to-find beers and more for over 40 years now: Mr. Dunderbak's.

Styled as a European Biergarten with hints of Germany throughout the menu, Mr. Dunderbaks has been a favorite amongst USF students for generations now.  With over 55 draft beers and over 400 different bottles, it's easy to understand why.

In fact, there's not a Budweiser, Coors, or any other major brand brew here in sight.  They take their beer seriously at Dunderbaks and it shows, mostly in the form of the "no crap beer" outside the restaurant.  From German to Belgian, British, and more, a ton of regions are represented at Dunderbak's beer taps.

And, if a monstrous beer menu isn't enough, the selection of food at Dunderbaks is right on the same level.  Enjoy a delightfully overwhelming selection of sandwiches, homemade bratwurst, weinerschnitzel, and a ton of other German culinary staples.  Stop in for lunch and chow down on a monstrous corned beer sandwich with a pint of great beer.

To round out the whole experience, Mr. Dunderbak's also hosts a variety of Tampa-area musicians for live music Thursday through Sunday.  Grab a new beer, hear some new music, and have a truly unique time at a place like this.

If this sounds like something you'd be into, head out there today!  They'd love to have you.  Just don't come thirsty for any of that cheap, watery beer nonsense.
