It's probably fair to say the Travel Channel's built up a nice little crush on the Tampa Bay area in the past few months.  Following not one, but two appearances from Adam Richman - who highlighted Tampa eateries like Skipper's Smokehouse and Aguila Sandwich shop - the Tampa Bay area is now poised for some more Travel Channel attention as the famed cable channel visited the restaurant Datz in South Tampa for a taping on Wednesday.

The restaurant will be featured on an upcoming episode of "Paradise", a travel channel show that highlights a certain food each episode and features a handful of restaurants from around the country that serve the best variation of the selected food.  The Travel Channel visited Datz for an upcoming "Paradise" episode that will highlight meatloaf and the great restaurants that serve it.

Datz' take on the classic, American dish is called Barry C's Stuffed Meatloaf, named after Tampa lawyer Barry Cohen.  The Stuffed Meatloaf comes in a hearty portion stuffed with four-cheese bacon mac n’ cheese and served with garlic mashed potatoes and peas.

There's no set date yet when it comes to when the "Paradise" episode featuring Datz will air, but we'll be sure to let you know.

Opened in 2007, Datz has become an institution for seriously great food in the Tampa Bay area.  We can vouch; their homestyle meals - like the famous Waffles n' Tweet with fried chicken, cheddar cheese waffles, sauteed spinach and jalapeno-maple syrup - are to die for.  Check 'em out soon and let us know what you think with your own rating and review on the Datz 813area business listing.
