Opened in October 2011, Duckweed Urban Market grew into a viable, but small success in the area with a variety of gourmet offerings ranging from beer to cheese and an assortment of other regular fare making it easily one of the most unique grocery stores in Tampa.

Riding this initial wave of success, the market has recently moved into a new, expanded location inside the Element building located at 803 N. Tampa Street in Downtown Tampa.

The new Duckweed Urban Market boasts 2,500 square feet of space (more than triple the size of their last location) which, in addition to their regular assortment of gourmet groceries, will eventually include a kitchen with a sit-down eating area in the future.

Open now, the new Duckweed Urban Market offers a huge variety of gourmet and artisanal grocery selections including breads, meats, produce, honey, cheese, chocolate, olive oils, and peanut butters as well as a variety of locally-made, gluten-free and specialty products you'd be hard pressed to find at many other Tampa grocery stores.

Their beer and wine selection is second to none with a variety of craft beer and hard to find wine selections offered regularly and through tasting events held each month.
