Great news for shopping in Tampa this weekend.  If you haven't heard, this upcoming weekend, August 12 -14 is the official Florida tax free weekend.  This means some great savings at retail outlets across the state for the next three days.

Well, all throughout Friday, Saturday and Sunday when you shop buy any article of clothing for $75 or less or any school supply for $15 or less, the typical 7 percent sales tax is eliminated!

As for the fine print, "clothing" includes anything that can be worn on the body excluding watches, watchbands, jewelry, umbrellas, handkerchiefs, or sporting equipment.

Books are also excluded from tax-free weekend.

"School supplies" include, pretty much, all the typical tools one would use in this classroom.  This includes pens, pencils, erasers, crayons, notebooks, notebook filler paper, legal pads, binders,
lunch boxes, construction paper, markers, folders, poster board, composition books, poster paper, scissors, cellophane tape, glue, paste, rulers, computer disks, protractors, compasses, and calculators.

If you've been looking to go shopping in Tampa, maybe beef up the wardrobe or grab the supplies you need for the upcoming school year, make some time this weekend and head out to any retail outletscross Florida to take advantage of this limited time deal.  Happy shopping!
