| Pros: | Plenty of drinking and dining options, validated parking | | Cons: | Still plenty of room for growth - can be deserted at times (could be a pro for some people) | | Comments: | Channelside is certainly one of the nicer places to spend a relaxing day in Tampa. Plenty of bars and restaurants are available to visitors as well as some local shops and an IMAX movie theater. My family regularly visits for a drink at TinaTapas and perhaps some sushi at Oishi or Thai food at Thai Thani. Businesses have come and gone as the recession rocked Tampa Bay, but Channelside still stands today and I believe as Tampa recovers so will Channelside. Parking is pretty accessible with valet options, in addition to a parking and validated parking at restaurants and shops. As Downtown Tampa grows, I expect Channelside to become a much bigger part of the bay. |
