Tampa Bay Theatre Festival

Come and experience The Tampa Bay Theatre Festival from August 29th through August 31st! This festival will be jam-packed with acting workshops, monologue and short-play competitions, and 5 full-length shows to be performed at the Straz Center for the Performing Arts and Stageworks Theatre. Hollywood acclaimed actress, Tasha Smith, will be leading her nationally-renowned Acting Boot-Camp that will guide each student through the process of creative discovery and skill-building. Gavin Hawk, Libya Pugh, Mark Leib, and Georgia Mallory Guy will lead workshops on topics such as Improvisation, Auditioning, Exploring Playwriting, and The Business of Acting. Also, Saul’s Juke Joint, The Year of Independent Living, Seasons, Death Row, and East Lansing will be performed by artists from the Tampa Bay and central Florida areas. Networking events along with a culminating Awards Party are also scheduled as evening socials. You don’t want to miss this inaugural theatre festival!
