(Tampa, FL) – The Famunda All-Stars wouldn’t miss
it for the world.
“We’ll be there,” said founding member
Tedd Webb. “You can count on it.”
Webb was speaking of the fourth annual
“koncert” his group of talented Karaoke-singing stars will put on to benefit
the Pediatric Cancer Foundation come February 2010.
Dubbed “Koncert 4 Kiddz,” the annual
event combines Webb’s singers with a silent auction in an extravaganza that
raises funds for a very worthy cause. The 2010 performance will be the fourth
straight year that the Famunda All-Stars have been the event’s fundraising
linchpin.
The event will take place at the Ritz
Ybor on Saturday, February 20, 2010, with the silent auction beginning at 6:00 p.m. In addition to the Famunda All-Stars,
other celebrities and media personalities from TV, radio, and print will also
sing.
Formed in 2005 as a group of singers and
musicians who met informally to perform and spend time together, the Famunda
All-Stars have raised over $26,000 for the Pediatric Cancer Foundation (PCF) in
their first three Koncert 4 Kiddz events.
“There’s nothing better than using the talent
you’ve been blessed with to help someone,” Webb said of the Famunda All-Stars’
association with the PCF.
Webb added that the Famunda All-Stars
also constantly play clubs and other public events, both to raise funds and to
simply perform and share their unique brand of music.
The February 2010 Koncert 4 Kiddz will be
co-hosted, as it was in 2009, by Tampa television personality Charley Belcher
(FOX 13 News) and Jen Holloway of Bright House Networks.
