The 2010 Gasparilla Parade begins on Bayshore Boulevard at Bay to Bay Boulevard and continues through Downtown Tampa where it ends on Cass Street&Ashley Drive. The annual parade is part of the Gasparilla Pirate Festival which also includes live music stages, food, drinks and entertainment for all.
The Parade of the Pirates begins at 2pm and goes on until about 5:30pm. The streets are filled with partygoers and people dressed up in Pirate gear. The 3.8 mile parade route is a free event to the public but reserved bleacher seating is available by visiting the ticket website.
This year's Gasparilla Parade 2010 will feature over 130 unties including more than 90 floats, 14 marching bands, and over 50 Krewes. The event is hosted by Ye Mystic Krewe of Gasparilla.
