Gasparilla has been invading Tampa Bay annualy for over 100 years.  From the water invasion, to the street parade, over half a million people will be showered with beads and entertainment of all kinds!

Jose Gaspar, a Spanish pirate whose nickname was Gasparilla, and the last of the Buccaneers, will reclaim his reign on the city for another year as this event takes place all day and throughout the evening.  Thousands will dress as pirates while many others remain as the average citizen attempting to catch every band of beads their reach can strive for.

This annual event in Tampa captures the hearts of every age and dynamic, whether young, old, single, married or an entire Brady Bunch family; everyone has reason to celebrate on this day and cherish the tradition nationally known as... Gasparilla.
