On January 21st, the Saturday before the main Gasparilla event, is the annual Children's Gasparilla Extravaganza!  This popular event, also known as the Gasparilla Children's Parade, was designed specifically for families and children. Gasparilla can become a bit intense which is why families may prefer to bring their children to the 2012 Gasparilla Extravaganza.

The extravaganza is an alcohol-free celebration for families and children.  Beginning with the Gasparilla Air Invasion followed by the Gasparilla Pre-schooler Stroll, Children's Parade and closing with the Gasparilla Pyrotechnic Extravaganza.  This firework display, which will begin at 7 in the evening, has been said to be one of the largest in the country and quite the site!

Bring out the family and little ones to enjoy a family-friendly Gasparilla day sure to bring the biggest smiles on the entire family's faces.

Festivities start at 11am with the Gasparilla Children's Parade to start at 3:30pm and the fireworks to conclude the event at 7pm.
