This is a Tampa jewel! Dining, shopping and exploring all along the Tampa Riverwalk.
I think the Tampa Riverwalk was one of the best additions to Downtown Tampa. I have seen over the years more and more people in Downtown and it's in part to making it a more walkable and park friendly urban district. Lots of events, parks to enjoy, delicious restaurants along the way and easy to access from multiple parts of the city.
Pros: They keep it clean and activate with events at the parks.
Cons: Parking in Downtown can be problematic at times so just plan ahead or leave some time for looking for parking.
I have been going here for as long as Riverwalk has been active and it is one of my favorite places downtown whether I am reading a book in the park, laying in my hammock or riding my longboard down the sidewalk. Always busy, always something to do and always makes for a nice day!
Pros: Nearby food stops, shops and University of Tampa.
Cons: N/A
Gorgeous walking path right along the Hillsborough River. Go to any of a myriad of fine dining and casual restaurants that are just off the Riverwalk. 10/10 view, especially at Sunset.
The Riverwalk is rarely ever dull, as many events are hosted here year-round. But when it is, people can enjoy how beautiful the view is. I recommend people try and take advantage of the walk/bike path, as it is one of the best ways to get a glimpse of the downtown area.
