On this night, Tokyo comes to the University of South Florida in the form of a grand cultural banquet. Guests will be treated to a unique dining experience and many authentic Japanese performances.

The Japanese Club at the University of South Florida is proud to present its largest event of the year, A Night in Tokyo 5. On this night, Tokyo comes to the University of South Florida in the form of a grand cultural banquet. Guests will be treated to a unique dining experience and many authentic Japanese performances. Planned perfomances include:
-Taiko drumming by Tampa Taiko
-Original Shakuhachi Piece by Ron Collins
-J-pop dance performance by KASA/JClub Dance
-Traditional Japanese dance performance by UF J-Club Dance Team
-Holographic MMD Concert
-Ikebana Display by Ikebana International
-Kimono Display by Koikishu Kimono
-Aikido Demonstration by USF Aikido
-"Fairy Tales" Celebrity Fashion show
Aside from performances, there will also be numerous cultural exhibits for guests to view and experience.
Our goal is to bridge the gap between Western and Japanese cultures and increase global awareness and diversity to the Tampa Bay community. This year’s A Night in Tokyo will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2014 from 6:00 PM to 9:00 PM EST at the University of South Florida’s Marshall Student Center Ballroom.
Admission is sold through Eventbrite for $5.21 per person. Please bring a printed or digital copy of your receipt to the event for admission.
It is highly recommended that you show up early. There are no assigned seating arrangements; therefore seating is on a first come, first serve basis.
