Event Details

Fort Foster Historic Site brings the holiday season on the Florida Frontier to life! Visitors follow a lantern-lit trail through the military fort and Seminole camp. Along the way, guests will encounter musicians, living history scenarios, and refreshments. A battle reenactment on Friday, December 12th, and Saturday, December 13th, will take place after 8:00 pm. Come witness the drama as the Seminoles attempt to burn the bridge crossing the Hillsborough River, while soldiers and militiamen will try to defend it. This living history program will truly take you back in time.
The Fort Foster State Historic Site is located adjacent to Hillsborough River State Park on U.S. 301 North, 9 miles north of Fowler Avenue and 6 miles south of Zephyrhills.
Fees: Ages 13 and up, $5.00 donation. Ages 12 and under are FREE.
