The MacDill AirFest 2010 in Tampa Florida is a 2 day air show event open to the public. The gates to the free event open at 8am and the Tampa air show starts at 9am and ends 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday. The annual AirFest at MacDill Air Force Base attracts over 750,000 people to watch flight demonstrations over the South Tampa air field.
The 2010 MacDill AirFest features the Blue Angels, the US Navy's Flight Demonstraton Squadron. The Blue Angles fly in close to 70 air shows each year at about 35 air show locations. Each year the MacDill Air Force Base rotates the flight demonstrators so the AirFest is different each year. Last year in the 2009 MacDill AirFest, the United States Air Force's Thunderbirds were the main demonstration.
Other demonstrations at the MacDill AirFest 2010 airshow will include the US Coast Guard, Parachute Jump Team, and many others.
