Join us in Ybor City for Guavaween 2013 with the Mama Guava Guavaween Costume Contest on Saturday, October 26th at Centre Ybor.
Event Details
Guavaween, now in its 28th year, is the traditional Ybor-based Halloween special event that takes place on the Saturday before Halloween.
The format for the 2013 Guavaween Festival is a main stage in Centro Ybor with live music from 7:00 to 8:45 PM followed by the Guavaween Costume Contest at 9 PM. The original Mama Guava, Kathi Grau, will host the Costume Contest.
Cash Prize of $1,000 for the winner of the Guavaween Costume Contest with gift certificate prizes for runner ups.
This year there will not be a Guavaween Parade in Ybor City; however, many of the local bars will be featuring drink specials, costume parties and more.
Daytime events in Ybor City include the "Little Monsters Pumpkin Patch" at Centro Ybor and the "Big Monsters Bed Race" down Seventh Avenue.
